How do we feel about reviews?

08:07

Hey guys!

Long time no see! So I'm thinking about changing the direction of this blog. I don't want to try and be like all of the other bloggers, I want to be more unique.

So how do we feel about reviews? I adore doing reviews so I think that may be the direction I want to take.

I'm going to give it a go, so the first review I will be doing is Tomb Raider! That should be out by Friday so keep your eyes peeled.

See you then!

Losing weight

16:38

Hey guys!

At the end of January I decided to join SlimmingWorld. I've been overweight for most of my life but I started to effect my health and I wasn't happy in myself at all.

I'm not comfortable enough to share how much I originally weighed but I'm happy to say that in 6 weeks, I have lost 13.5lbs! What makes me even happier is the fact that those 6 weeks include a week long trip to Barcelona and who counts calories on holiday?!

I've finally started to learn when enough is enough when it comes to food and I've also started to incorporate a bit of exercise, which for me is an achievement!

I'm by no means happy with how I look and there's still a long way to go but I'm proud of myself! I've gone from being a lazy couch potato who lived on ice cream to a slightly less lazy person who is actually enjoying vegetables!

So to anyone else that's trying to lose weight, hang on in there. If I can do it then you most certainly can.

I'm thinking of sharing some recipes that I've found useful so let me know if that's something that you would like to see.

Getting back to business

14:53

I want to start again. I've had this blog for a few years now and I've written posts on and off, but never really stuck to it. I really want that to change.

All I've wanted to do with my life is write, and this is the perfect platform for it so why don't I just do it?!

I've decided to start again. I'm no longer going to stick to the "safe" posts that every blogger publishes, I'm just going to write what I want, when I want. Whether that's a recipe I've tried, a product I've tried or just how I feel. I hope you guys will be able to connect with me and come along on this journey of ramblings.

So, let's get to know each other better shall we?

Pleased to meet you, I'm Beth. I'm 19, from London, currently at university studying Journalism. I love to listen to music, watch films, play video games and all that other fun stuff.

Let me know about yourself in the comments and we will start a fresh next time. Deal?

Hey guys!

Sorry I haven't posted for quite a while but things have been really hard for me. I'm not going to bore you with excuses or even try and explain what has been going on because I want to put it all behind me. I don't want bad things documented on here, so as things are getting better, I'm starting to feel more motivation to get posting again! Stay tuned for hauls, wishlists and some other posts which I am hoping will start going up throughout February.Thank you for being patient with me, and if any of you are feeling this way, don't hesitate to contact me on the e-mail address at the side of this blog. As my readers grow, I want to turn this into a small community of people who help each other.

See you soon,

Mini Primark Haul!

13:01

Hey guys!

I know it's nearly Christmas and I should be buying presents for other people but I couldn't resist having a little mooch around Primark today and I picked up a few bits and pieces so I decided to show you.

Black Glittery Ballet Pumps - £6

Black ballet pumps are a staple in any wardrobe but glittery ones? Yes please. And these little beauties were only £6. What a bargain!

The Grinch DVD - £3

I'm a sucker for a Christmas film and The Grinch is one of my favourites! This was hiding in a stack of other DVD's that were a lot more expensive than this so keep an eye out for the cheaper classics.

Floral Sleeve Jumper - £10

I loved this jumper simply for the sleeves. And the price!

Detachable Charm Necklace - £3

I thought the charms on this necklace were so cute and I love the fact that you can change which one you want! Primark's jewellery is amazing at the moment, you should definitely check it out.

40 LED Multicoloured Lights - £2.50

I stupidly forgot to take a picture of these before I put them on my bed but I think fairy lights look so pretty all year round, and for £2.50 you can't really go wrong!

So there we go, that's what I picked up today. See, I told you it was a mini haul! If you liked this then let me know and I could do more of them in the future. Thanks for reading!

Beauty Wishlist!

14:21

Hey guys!

So I know that my last post was a wishlist but lately I've been looking at beauty products so that I can ask for them at Christmas! A bit early I know but I can't help it! I thought I'd put together another wishlist so you can see what I've been loving.

1) Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner - £18.50

Most of you would have heard about this stuff seeing as nearly every beauty blogger in the world has mentioned it at some point! After testing it out at a Benefit counter recently, I can see why. It glides on so smoothly and doesn't smudge...for someone that wears winged eyeliner everyday, it's perfect! It's quite a pricey product but it's not too bad when you compare it to other high end brands and that is why I will be buying it after I get paid or putting it at the top of my Christmas list!

2) MAC Rocky Horror Pigment in It's Not Easy Having A Good Time - £18.50

This pigment is GORGEOUS. The colour is absolutely incredible and as is the packaging. I've never really used a pigment before but this colour would be the one to get me started...I can't get over how gorgeous it is! Unfortunately it's currently sold out online but I haven't checked any stores near me so hopefully somewhere will have it. It's too pretty not to have in my life.

3) Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge - £5.99

I only recently found out about this sponge in one of Pixiwoo's Halloween tutorials and as soon as I saw it, I fell in love. White face paint was being applied with it but even with that, you could see how flawlessly a foundation would go on. As someone with limited makeup skills, something like this is perfect so I will definitely be going out to grab this as soon as possible!

There you go guys, something a little bit different for you. Let me know if any of you have tried any of these products, I'd love to know what you think! Thanks for reading!

October Wishlist!

15:15

Hey guys!

1. Dark Grey Check Zip Pocket Slim Leg Trousers - £19.99
Tartan/check is my favourite Autumn trend and these trousers are gorgeous! I don't tend to wear trousers but I really want to start attempting to style some so patterns wouldn't really be the best start for beginners but the grey makes them a little bit easier.

2. Burgundy Zip Side Chunky Cleated Sole Block Heel Boots - £24.99
Burgundy is also another of my favourite Autumn trends and I really liked this brown-toned burgundy. The zips on the outside give a bit of extra detail, and the cleated sole is one of this year's biggest trends.

3. Burgundy Waffle Textured Balloon Midi Skirt
As I previously said, burgundy is a favourite. The skirt has a more of a red-tone which makes it stand out. As a bigger girl, I don't really like to have my legs out so this kind of length works perfectly for me!

So there it is, my October wishlist. New Look are really hitting the trends this year and I loved multiple items on the website! What do you guys think of these wishlists? Should it become a monthly thing? Let me know!
